Problem to solve: How can a chocolate bar be more than just a product? The challenge was to design a luxury chocolate brand that feels indulgent but also does good; one that gives back to a cause, tells meaningful stories, and avoids the pitfalls of cultural appropriation often seen in tourism-focused goods.

Solution: Mokupuni Chocolate is a concept brand created to blend storytelling with responsible design. Grounded in Native Hawaiian culture, each bar features symbolic ingredients chosen for both taste and historical meaning. Through elegant packaging and narrative-focused design, Mokupuni educates consumers and centers Native sovereignty, transforming a simple treat into a conversation about land, identity, and ethical tourism.
